Wii games list: what is in it
The library holds 12 widely reviewed Wii games and 12 titles published by Storm City Games, whose Wii titles on this list were released between 2009 and 2011. Every Wii games entry here has its own page with a source line for each fact, so a release date or a developer name can be checked against where it came from.
Where sources disagree, the page says so instead of picking a winner. That happens often with the studio titles: the publisher is written as Storm City Games in some sources and Storm City Entertainment in others, and developers and dates differ between Wikipedia, review sites and rating boards.
The Players column shows the maximum a source states, and a dash means no source found for this library gives one. The Rating column is the ESRB rating where one was found. The last column answers a practical question: yes means a physical disc plays on a Wii, or on a Wii U in Wii Mode, with nothing else to buy. With conditions means it needs an extra accessory or has a feature that no longer works.
Wii racing games
Wii racing games on the list range from Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii, which holds a Metacritic score of 82, to a run of licensed car and quad-bike titles from Storm City Games. WorthPlaying scored four of those licensed racers between 3.0 and 5.5 out of 10, and no review was found for Ram Racing.

What it takes to play Wii games today
A Wii plays every disc on this page. A Wii U also plays Wii discs, through Wii Mode, but most Wii software needs a Sensor Bar for pointer controls, and the Wii U does not support GameCube controllers. Wii discs are region-coded, so a disc bought in another region may not start on your console.
Digital buying ended long ago. Nintendo closed the Wii Shop Channel on 30 January 2019, after the sale of Wii Points stopped on 26 March 2018, and the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop shut worldwide on 27 March 2023. The full walk-through is in the guide to playing Wii games on a Wii U.
For ranked picks rather than a full catalogue, see the best Wii games page. The Storm City titles are also gathered on the studio titles page, and the Nintendo DS games list covers the handheld.
Frequently asked questions
How many Wii games are on this list?
24 games, made up of 12 widely reviewed releases and 12 Storm City Games titles. Each has its own page with sources.
Can a Wii U play these Wii games?
Yes, through Wii Mode, which plays Wii discs. Most Wii software still needs a Sensor Bar, and GameCube controllers are not supported on the Wii U.
Are Wii games region locked?
Wii discs are region-coded to the console, so check the region of a disc before buying. The listings here note regions where sources give separate dates.
Can I still buy Wii games from the Wii Shop Channel?
No. The Wii Shop Channel closed on 30 January 2019, and buying Wii Points had ended on 26 March 2018. Physical discs are the way to play most titles.
