The Storm City Games catalogue

Storm City Games published low-priced casual and family games for the Nintendo DS and Wii. A June 2010 press release, issued by Storm City Entertainment of Sicklerville, New Jersey, described a publisher and distributor that worked with independent developers and licensed existing properties. The same release announced the third- and fourth-quarter schedule for 2010.

The earliest dated release found for any title is Monkey Madness: Island Escape for the Nintendo DS, listed for North America on 23 March 2009. The last Wii and DS releases in the lists are from 2011, among them Ram Racing on 12 October 2011 in North America. A 2013 mobile game, Harbinger Wars: Battle for Las Vegas, was announced by Valiant Entertainment as built with Storm City Entertainment.

Several of the games rest on licences. The Heathcliff games carry the cartoon cat from the newspaper strip, with Fitz Roy Media named in the press release as licensor. Alpha and Omega is the game of the 2010 animated film, Beastly Frantic Foto belongs to the 2011 film Beastly, and Honda ATV Fever was made in cooperation with American Honda, according to the same release.

The name itself varies by source. Storm City Games and Storm City Entertainment both appear as publisher, sometimes inside a single review. Developers change from title to title: Visual Impact, Beyond Reality, 7 Raven Studios, Cerasus Media and others are credited in different places, and where sources disagree on a developer or a date the game page lists both versions.

Reading the catalogue

The year in each row is the earliest release date a source gives for any region. A title that came out on both consoles shares one page, with a separate date for each version, and the Platform line in the record table says which versions exist. Two entries are not Wii or DS games at all: Old Skool Classics and Word Wizard 3D are listed for the Nintendo 3DS, and Harbinger Wars is a mobile game.

Documentation varies a great deal between titles. Some have a published review. Others survive in a rating-board entry and a database row, and their pages are short because that is what the sources hold. Review scores for studio titles come mostly from WorthPlaying on a ten-point scale and are labelled as such.
